Start with the Problem – not the Product.

Start with the problem.

You might have a great technology or idea for disruption but why is it relevant?

  • Who has the problem and how big is their pain?
  • Your perception of the problem may not be theirs.
  • Will those with the problem see your product as a benefit?
  • Will they pay for it and what is it worth?
  • Why is your product better than existing options?
  • Find people who have the problem
    • Engage with social media
    • Build a community
    • Build and trial an MVP with the community
    • Get feedback and criticism
    • Adapt the MVP and try it again
    • Get feedback and criticism
    • Launch
The product or service will evolve from this process. In many cases this outcome is different to the original vision of the product or service.
